NYC Dance Parade and Festival

Join us in NYC for the 6th Annual Dance Parade on Saturday on May 19th from 1-3pm

Dance Parade represents all cultures and styles of dance in its annual parade and festival each May.

We encourage artistry not only in dance performances but also in the vehicles.  Floats, DJ's, dance groups, flash mobs, students, professional dancers, and Grand Marshal's bring the parade to life!  Dance Police joyously keep the crowds dancing along.

Enjoy performances following the parade at the Dance Festival in Tompkin's Square Park and participate in dance classes and groups devoted to public participation for all ages.

Flashmobs Help Create Social Change

In addition to the 'Occupy' Movements in the United States, there has been a wave of protests all over the world from Egypt to England, Greece to Chile. The South American country has added its name to global protests, but this time students are demanding free education.

Hundreds of thousands have hit the streets to not only insist on free education but also to protest the wealth distribution.

Chilean students have danced in protest and have been successful in creating much needed change for the masses.
